Montrose city is the most populous municipality of Montrose County in Colorado. It is situated in cardinal-western Colorado, in the upper Uncompahgre Valley. Covered Bridge Ranch

This family-owned and operated ranch is located in Southwestern Colorado at the base of the San Juan mountain range. This scenic 300-acre land is the site for festive events such as the famous family traditions Christmas Trees at the Covered Bridge and Pumpkins at the Covered Bridge.

Montrose County Historical Museum

This museum is located in the historic Denver & Rio Grande Railroad Depot. It features the dreams and stories of people who have lived in Uncompahgre Valley for over 130 years. It concentrates on all aspects of early day pioneer life and includes an authentic homesteader’s cabin, a huge collection of farm equipment and machinery, as well as a rare original stagecoach.

The ranch showcases an alpaca lifestyle adventure where visitors can learn about alpaca farming. The alpaca farm harvest alpaca fleece every year without harming the animal.
